The services provided in our office are thorough, comprehensive, and oriented to the diagnosis and treatment of disease in adults.  To that end, we offer many diagnostic services at the time of your visit for which the results are available at the conclusion of your visit.

 

“Preventative health exams” as characterized by insurance company policies are generalized and limited in scope and do not take the place of routine care.  The goal of visiting the physician is to improve our health status, thus all visits involve a preventive health measure. We strive to provide each patient with the guidance, based on data derived from individualized health assessments, necessary to take the appropriate steps to maintain and improve current health status.

 

However, our services are diagnostic and/or monitoring of previously identified health concerns.  Thus, visits will not be considered preventative by the insurance company and so will not be coded as such.
